Prickly Bay, Grenada
It has been a flurry of activity around our boat the last couple of days. We have frantically been trying to get all of our systems running and everything working as it should for our trip up the islands. All is in order now and we are ready to depart Grenada in the morning. We have said good-bye to shipyards and electricians and engineers and chandlers, as they have become like family over the last couple of weeks.
Pirate’s dad flew in to sail north with us for a couple of weeks. He had a long flight from Phoenix to Grenada with many connections and layovers- but he made it in one piece. We sailed over to Prickly Bay to pick him up and show him some of the great sights in Grenada before we depart. We brunched at our favorite restaurant, Aquarium, on Sunday. We also visited the Grand Etang National Forest. We hiked up to St. Margaret Falls, fed the Mona monkeys and caught fish with our hands in Crater Lake. It was a full day of activities.
The weather is fabulous for a sail, so off we go to another anchorage…
